Saint Joseph's Men's Group focuses on growing together as a community of men in the parish which has three components: (1) PRAYER: Every meeting we grow together as a community of men by praying the rosary, and sometimes the litany of Saint Joseph. (2) FELLOWSHIP: Growing together and getting to know one another as brothers in Christ. My hope is that the Men's group will begin to host events for the parish that incorporate a spiritual dimension. (3) SPIRITUAL GROWTH: Growing in our knowledge of the Church is important. In prayer we exercise faith and in knowledge we reason to the truth, which is why the Church teaches Faith & Reason. Recently, the Men's group watched a lesson on the Jewish roots of Saint Joseph, which we all learned a lot and enjoyed! Saint Joseph is the patron of our parish and of the Universal Church. As Mary is our mother, and Jesus our brother, Saint Joseph is a father for us as well. He's a great saintly example for men, especially husbands and fathers or anyone really, who wants to grow closer to God. This is why I incorporated Joseph as the title for the Men's Group. Ite ad Ioseph: Go to Joseph!
