Prayerfully consider the different liturgical volunteering ministries available for parishioners.
ALTAR SERVER:
Have you ever considered serving at Mass, such as holding the Missal for the priest or washing his hands, carrying the cross or candles in procession or ringing the bells during the Liturgy of the Eucharist? If so, God might be calling you to serve! You are required to have (1) received your First Holy Communion and (2) completed your Altar Server Training/Requirements before serving.

LECTOR: If you love God's word, have an articulate voice and enjoy reading in front of others, consider proclaiming God's word at Mass. Lectors are scheduled based on availability (on average once a month). A resource is given to each Lector with the Sunday readings so that they can prepare.

MUSIC MINISTRY: The Music Ministry brings richness to the Mass by supporting and encouraging active participation of all assembled through song and response. Music, a joyful form of prayer, gives glory to God and assists the parishioners of St. Joseph's to experience Him through the power and beauty of sacred song. This ministry provides musical direction and brings together parishioners who share a passion for music.
PARISH ROSARY: If you have a love for Our Lady and the Rosary, this new ministry might be for you?! Prayerfully consider leading the Rosary for the parish a half-hour before the Mass that you attend.

USHER/DOOR GREETER: Would you like to serve the parish of Saint Joseph at Mass, become an Usher or Door Greeter. Door Greeters open the main entrance doors for parishioners and must be friendly. Ushers collect the offertory during Mass & perform other needed tasks upon request such as handing out bulletins.
