The Vocations Apostolate Ministry was formed with the intention identify, foster, encourage, and support vocations through prayer, invitation, education, and action.
Our ministry invites others to join us in prayer supporting those discerning religious vocations, especially most holy priesthood.
We provide vocation materials, and plan events that move our support of vocations into action.
We act by encouraging families to promote vocations in the home, involving parishioners through announcements and vocation-centric prayers, hosting diocesan discernment dinners for young men inquiring about the priesthood journey, and sending cards to the seminarians (birthday) and priests (anniversary of ordination) of our diocese.
Prayer for Seminarians Returning to their Studies Oh God, hear our prayer for the men you have chosen to follow in your Son's footsteps.
Teach them humility and fidelity to unselfishly help others.
May their devotion to Our Blessed Mother, Queen of Vocations, increase, enabling them to do your will.
Strengthen their prayer life that they may grow spiritually without worldly distractions.
Give them courage and perserverence in their studies.
May the Holy Spirit lighten their struggles with their vocations, until they know the joy of being a priest.
We ask this through Christ your Son.
Amen
